I was born and raised in Carson City, Nevada by Mexican immigrant parents. I am currently a student at the University of Nevada, Reno studying Atmospheric Science and Photography.
I’m driven by a compulsion to capture the forgotten and overlooked moments that make up everyday life. This compulsion can be best described as an urge, an urge that I have felt since I was about 13 or 14 years old. It’s the moments that seem unremarkable that I’m most drawn to. The images I create allow me a moment to pause and concentrate, within the constant shifting state of my mind. I’m not interested in finding something profound in the mundane; my images are not meant to be anything more than what they are. My aim is to give my viewer the opportunity to consider the aesthetic value in the everyday and to invite them to consider their surrounds from a different perspective.
